The Young Readers Fund was created in 2021 as a permanently endowed fund managed by Friends Investing in Sacramento Public Library to honor the accomplishments of former Library Director Rivkah Sass and to ensure that Sacramento Public Library has resources now and in the future to:
● Help Sacramento Public Library fuel young readers’ potential through new initiatives;
● Expand access to books so that all young people in the region will experience the joy of reading and learning; and
● Bring a rich and diverse array of experiences and inspirations to support young people in fostering creativity, exploration and innovation.
Checks can be made out to Friends Investing in Sacramento Public Library (FISPL) and sent to P.O. Box 60402, Sacramento, CA 95860. If you opt to make a qualified charitable distribution from your IRA, please contact us at FISPL@saclibfriends.org before initiating the transfer directly to the Friends.
